Urlaub in Polen

It’s too cold to go out. I want to go on holiday. Somewhere hot I’ve decided. There are so many factors, can’t be in the Euro (too expensive) can’t be outside of Europe (too expensive), I decide the answer is Eastern Europe. So for a quick fix I thought I’d put on Urlaub In Polen and procrastinate via this blog.

They’re not cutting-edge but there are more important things to consider than that. Best played mid-afternoon with tea and cigarettes. Their last record, 2006’s Health and Welfare is loaded with amicable hits. What seems strange is their popularity has never materialised – in laymans’, no-one likes them. From what I can remember, they’re frequently billed as kerrazy Germans but are actually fairly sane.

And there we have it, another pipeline dream reduced to cheap, myopic nostalgia for 2006, sad isn’t it? Anyway, if you’re lusting to flee town, I’d advise the aforementioned record from Tomlab. Their myspace is here.
