Afrirampo

Apparently this band are amazing live. If I’d been more astute/conscious I would’ve caught them at ATP a while back. Alas, all that I can do now is wait expectantly for them to return to UK shores. They sound like post-Lightning Bolt Grrrl Riot.

Speaking of which, what’s going on in the Lightning Bolt camp? They can rip it up like the best of them but for all their achievements, they seem to have gone tame, if not quiet. October’s performance at Release the Bats was for the most part, underwhelming – plagued by sound problems, the new material was too disguised and convoluted to offer any promise of a bright future.
