bi-furious

Regular readers will be aware of my self-styled transition towards punk which will hopefully reach its messy conclusion at Rebellion festival in Blackpool this August.

bi-furious are the next addition to my relatively limited knowledge of the genre. Although they are not playing the festival I think that they are pretty hardass atypical punks – some might say cliche’d, but not even that detracts from the, er, product. If punk is more lifestyle/philosophy than musical genre why should it matter what the band sounds like? Why should it matter what bands you like?

This is all well and good but I won’t be fooling nobody at no festival coming out with tosh like that; I’ll be hung drawn and quartered by people with proper tattoo’s and mohawks, people who arn’t pale imitations, people with authenticity, people who are not me.

Ego-centric ranting aside, bi-furious are everything I want from a punk band. The sound is as heavy as hell. They play gigs with groups such as, The Fascist Beauties and Gay Witch Abortion. They leave blog posts like this…
